As a food reviewer passionate about uncovering hidden gems, I found myself drawn to the diverse menu options. Starters like the Queso Fundido & Chorizo ($12.00) showcase melted Oaxaca cheese's richness, complemented by spicy chorizo—a true indulgence for the senses. On the fresher side, the Ceviche ($12.00) bursts with the flavors of lime-marinated tilapia and shrimp, invigorating the palate.

Moving on to the entrees, Los Tules doesn’t disappoint with its Fish Tacos ($16.00), featuring grilled tilapia elegantly flanked by cabbage slaw and chipotle sauce. The balance of textures—crispy and creamy—perfectly encapsulates what Mexican cuisine is all about. And for the hearty appetites, the Carnitas Platter encapsulates comfort food with its slow-cooked pork, bringing a satisfying warmth that feels just right.

What truly stands out about Los Tules is the devoted service. Customers have praised the attention of staff like Rochelle and Carlos, who elevate the dining experience with their knowledgeable and friendly demeanor. Reviewers raved about the crowded yet cozy atmosphere, where even busy nights are met with prompt service. Bethany Goodin noted how “skinny margs were delish,” pointing to the excellent drink menu that perfectly complements the dishes on offer.

In terms of ambiance, the option to dine on the patio adds a delightful touch, allowing patrons to enjoy their meals al fresco while soaking in the sights and sounds of Kansas City. With positive testimonials from locals, it’s clear that Los Tules is not just a restaurant; it’s a beloved community hub where great food meets genuine hospitality.

Food was good, skinny margs were delish and our waitress Rochelle was very attentive and happy to ask all my menu questions. First time here and we will for sure be back to enjoy the patio!

Everything was wonderful ! Our waiters name was Carlos & he was amazing. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience. 10/10 recommend.

Local spot with lots of menu options. Loved chili verde was delicious and plentiful! The cheese and onion enchilada was very good too. Has the beef enchilada and the meat could have had better spice. Don’t like the espinaca cheese was not good and the h ch iOS are not great either. overall the entrees were very good. A few tweaks and it would be better. Give it a try, casual ambiance and good service even when very busy.

We go here at least once a week. Food is always awesome and hot, service is speedy and staff are all amazing! The margaritas are the best in the city and I love their salsa! 10/10 every time. We love the a la carte menu for when we aren’t as hungry and when hungrier their fajitas are perfect! They have two outside spaces as well. Love this place and the folks here!

Great Mexican food and nice atmosphere! I got the fish platter, and it was very flavorful and seasoned well. There were good portions as well. The margaritas and drinks were good as well; not too strong though. Overall, very place and definitely would recommend it.

Service: Spectacular. Atmosphere: Mexican Restaurant-y Food: Food was delicious, generous portions! Salsa was just okay. It's a thin puree type, not my fav. Drink: Margs were superb and packed a punch. They offer a half pitcher, which is nice. Value: The lunch deal is excellent. $14 lunch deal WITH a soft drink. Can't beat that. In conclusion, we will return!! Yum! We visited for lunch on 10/24.
